I bought a 2018 Ford Escape w/extended warranty. I was then told it would need a remanufactured transmission. since they had my car foralmost three weeks. I had to rent a car that costs me over $1400.00. Now they are telling me it would be 4 weeks or longer to get the transmission in. If I had to do it all over again. I would not buy ANYTHING from them.
Business response:
The 3rd party extended warranty that you have states in contract that they will only pay for 5 days of rental. We have no control over how many days they will approve. We did inform your warranty company that the transmission that is needed is on a national back order so they are sending us a transmission that would be here sooner. We will contact you as soon as it arrives so you can bring your vehicle back in for repair. We do apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
I will never buy or send anyone to purchase a vehicle from this place I have not had this car 2 years and already had to buy a motor and now the transmission has went out and they are saying I brought as is never received a car fax report on the vehicle now 14,000 dollars is gone down the drain n they still want me to pay for the car
Business response:
We are sorry to hear about the repairs needed on your vehicle after 1 year 5 months of ownership. Unfortunately vehicles need maintenance and repairs. Your vehicle had 102,000 miles at the time of purchase and the dealership has no way to predict how long this vehicle will operate before possibly needing repairs. The vehicle was inspected prior to purchase and we do have a signed Carfax which was signed at the time of purchase by the customer. The customer financed the vehicle so the payments would be between her and the ban... read more
On August 5th, 2021, I was driving off Signal Mountain with my Son-In Law and his Father from Arizona as my passengers. There were no prior warnings lights and or any reasons to believe something wasn't right with my 2011 Ford Explorer. I bought the Truck from Mtn. View Ford on 20th street, Chattanooga. As I was driving off Signal Mountain, all of a sudden a warning light came on warning to service my Power Steering now. At that time as I was in the curves coming off the Mountain. I had NO Power Steering at and almost wrecke... read more

The recall Mr. ***** is referring to is 14S06 Certain 2011-2013 Model Year Explorer Vehicles - Reprogram Power Steering Control Module and Steering Gear Extended Coverage. Which had been performed at Cleveland Ford November 7th 2015 @ mileage 39,758 recall directs dealer to check for codes and if non were found then reprogram power steering system which they did. On August 5Th 2021 vehicle was brought to Mtn View Ford mileage 82,500 for recall 19S17 which is rear toe link replacement and wanted us to check into a concern... read more
Please do yourself a favor and NEVER purchase a car from this dealer. This is my 2nd lemon from them, hard expensive lesson learned. I bought my Fusion brand new in 2019, it only has 26,000 miles on it and already needs a new transmission. Still under warranty however they have had it since 7/27, spoke to them today, it could be another 3-4wks before they even touch it bc they are so backed up with transmission work...AND they will not give me a loaner or rental until the work starts, and then only for 10 days no matter if m... read more
Business response:
*****, Ford requires us to tear down the transmission to point of failure. Once we have causal part we then are required to get prior approval from Ford regarding repair. Ford decides if we rebuild or repair. Once we get a decision from Ford we then at that point can request approval for rental. We're sorry that you're having transmission trouble. We know how frustrating car trouble can be. I think honestly your bad review score should be pointed at Ford brand, not the local dealer though. As you state, even our compe... read more
Dropped my truck off at mnt view ford on Oct 2020, because it went into safe mode. I had told them everything that happened to the truck that I knew of, I said it was leaking oil from driver side turbo and it never had power. I had got my truck back 2 days before thanksgiving, three weeks later my check engine light comes on again, I take it back to mnt view ford, they tell me I need a new sensor that controls my vacuum lines. that price was 700$ for labor and part, I pick up my truck without them doing anything to it and lo... read more
Business response:
we had explained to the customer that when vehicle was brought to us and that a specific technician was requested to perform the repair which we obliged. We found that the engine had internal failure and his aftermarket warranty company agreed to replace under their warranty. There were no indications at the time that catalytic converters were going to have internal failure 5,980 miles later . We contacted his aftermarket warranty and told them the converter has failed and they said they do not cover converters. We have no w... read more
As a fellow BBB member I am extremely disappointed in this lots ability to handle their own mistakes with accountability. I had a terrible experience with online reps, and sales reps. No one was useful or even slightly empathetic after I drove several hours to get a vehicle that someone "sold but forgot to mark because he's putting a light bar on it" LOL Greg W the sales rep said well no ones holding you hostage so you can leave whenever. No attempt to resolve the issue besides offering me a used vehicle.
Business response:
Mountain View Ford apologized many times regarding the customer's experience that day. We immediately realized we had made a mistake, showed him how the mistake was made (for clarity), and continued to apologize for the error. A simple click of a button would have notified the customer that the vehicle was no longer available, but we failed to do just that. We know it cost him many hours of his day, but had no way of correcting the mistake without another truck just like that one, which we didn't have at that time. Nothing t... read more
