Made the mistake of going only at night for the light up ceremony (only because we ran out of time that day) Lighting is horrible. Casts bad shadows up their faces and you can't get a good photo at all. Checking it off my bucket list but should have went during the day. That's what happens when you cram 4 different sights in one day.

It was even more impressive than I remembered from many years ago. My kids were more than appropriately impressed. The very best part is watching people from all over the world react to it! Oh the fascinating people watching! We had a blast!

Seeing this in person was on my bucket list! It was just as amazing as I thought it would be! The night lighting ceremony was spectacular. The videos on the sculptor and building of the monument were informative! The artifacts on display are awe inspiring as you realize that it took a lot of hard work to create such an impressive masterpiece!

What a beautiful historic site to see. Absolutely loved seeing it and learning more about the history of Mount Rushmore. Kids had a great time.
