Food was good. Staff friendly. I was a bit disappointed that my husband’s food came a good 10 min’s after mine. Also, I ordered my eggs over medium and they came definitely over easy.

The bread pudding is worth the trip!
Great atmosphere line was outside the door . Cool staff saw me fanning from the long walk her and tilted the industrial fan on me and my Fam. Food to eat sleep and eat some more!!!!! Gonna miss it, man need to drive down just to eat and go!!!!
We finally made it to the TRUTH!!!! We got that oyster and shrimp po-boys and red beans and rice plus Bread pudding with a brandy sauce!!!!
We always make Mother’s Restaurant our first stop when we visit New Orleans. Great food always 😀
Food was good, in Louisiana big portions, but don’t expect any aviancce.

Great food and atmosphere! Grits just like mom used to make! Was disappointed there was no bacon served � but I ordered the Blackened Ham.......absolutely a must eat! So good!

Karen, thank you. Mother's has specialized in ham for 80 years, thus, we don't serve bacon.
The Et -Toufee omelette was awesome. Zero ambiance and the man at the door was not friendly but our server was very nice. $$ price wise.

We went towards closing so the food was the last food cook so not as fresh. The good was well seasoned and you received a large portion.
