The food was really good, but when it was time to pay the bill, the waitress to my tab with extra money (more than the bill with a tip) and never brought my change.
Food and service were very good. Will visit again.
One Word..,"FLAVOR"! So Delicious. In our busy fast food lives, I forgot food is supposed to bursts our tastebuds with joy. Mission accomplished at Moosewood, where my non vegetarian son ate his salad! You won't be disappointed!
The Moosewood is truly an iconic Ithaca experience. It's also nice having so many options, as a vegetarian that is often not easy when dining out.

We went for lunch. The Italian gratin and Caribbean roti were outstanding. I also recommend the house dressing for salad and the potato gouda ale soup.
The food was just ok but better than the service! We don't need to go back for a long time.
After years of holding onto the original cookbook and dreaming of the day I could actually eat at the famed restaurant, our lunch there 2 weeks ago was deflating. The roasted vegetable fritatta had huge oversized lumps of vegetables - beets, carrots, etc - loaded into under cooked scrambled eggs. The feta and garlic dressing was watered down and tasteless. The banana cake was very dry. So disappointed!
Everything I hoped it would be! Creative cuisine, prompt and friendly service, warm atmosphere. Will absolutely return. In the meantime, I bought another of their cookbooks.
