We had two meals and were very disappointed . Poor presentation and flavor.
Moosewood ambience is extraordinary. We sat outside and enjoyed excellent service and cuisine. All courses were delicious, with a berry cobbler dessert that was amazing. Fresh berries and just made biscuit...Can't wait to come back
The Moosewood restaurant has been an Ithaca institution for years for good reason. It is a comfortable environment, great service, and, even if you are not a vegetarian, you will enjoy their food!
Moosewood Restaurant is a legend in its own right. As a natural foods chef over 35 years ago, the first Moosewood cookbook was our bible. When I had the opportunity to have lunch here recently I had high expectations and our meal and overall experience met those expectations. Our food was so delicious, perfectly updated but maintaining the Moosewood touch. The service was excellent and our server had been there 35 years, so we shared the history. So fun! Five stars for Moosewood, I'm coming back!

We drove from Buffalo to Ithaca for the sole purpose of having lunch on my birthday weekend and it was worth the drive. Our waitress was amazing, she was friendly and provided great service. Although my birthday was the day before, she brought me an on-the-house (my choice from the menu) dessert. The atmosphere was bright and airy. The food incredible, and something on the menu for everybody. The beer and wine lists surprisingly impressive. Hippie vegetarian place famous for the cookbooks. Good fresh food but they looked at me like I was a harlot when I asked for a Diet Coke. Chemicals man.
Was better back in the day, but is still wonderful.
The best! Been going to Moosewood weekly (when I live here) FOR YEARS!!!
We travelled from Toronto Canada to celebrate my husbands 50th! It did not disappoint! We had a wonderful meal fabulous service - an experience to be remembered. We will be back!! Thank you so much Moosewood!!!
