This place was absolutely beautiful. The walkway along the lake was beautiful. The sunset was magical. Had a king size bed with a fluffy comforter. So comfy. We absolutely will be back. We took a nice walk up to the town and checked out the shops. It's a great location. Wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend it.
People were very pleasant checking us in and very helpful with suggestions on where to go for beaches and so forth. Room was clean but cosmetically really needs some upgrade.
We had an overnight layover & happened to find Monroe's. Perfect location & setting. Very clean & friendly staff. We asked where a good place to get crablegs was & they called the restaurant next door to see if they could do it for us. They aren't on their menu. They were able to without hesitation. We plan on coming back for a long weekend in the future.
Horrible, cockroach infested slum. But hey it was a nice place before the new management took over. I guess some people can ruin anything.

Really enjoyed our stay. I am a cat person, so I really loved that the hotel had a "mascot" kitty. Reminded me of home. Our room was clean and comfortable, although it needed a little cosmetic work here and there. Loved the lighted walkway!!
