The Money Lion Plus sign up process was easy. It was very easy to link everything together and it was easy to get the $500 low APR loan with them. You get access to a checking and investment account with them, of which they handle investing money so no work at all on your part. I applied for a moneylion account and realized it wasn’t what I wanted so i canceled the account on the same day. Since then my email has been bombarded with moneylion product offerings. I’ve “unsubscribed” on every email with no results. I’ve contacted their customer service (which has issues of its own) and been told by two Reps that my information was removed from the system yet I’m still getting solicitation. As I told the Reps, I want the contact to stop!

I had to pay a “membership fee” of $36.36 every month to “unlock” a loan that I wanted to take out. I NEVER took out a loan, nor did I use any “investment monies” allegedly deposited to my moneylion account, which anyone from their company could clearly see. I emailed them to cancel my account due to a severe financial hardship, and they emailed me back saying I wasn’t behind on payments by $145.55 and had to pay that FIRST so they could cancel my account! Signing up with this company is quick and easy but severing ties is the most arduous and stressful process. They may charge your account like clockwork, but don't try to figure out where your money is because they are completely unhelpful. As enticing as the $500 personal loan is its not worth all the membership fees constantly being charged to your account. MoneyLion charges me $18 a week for membership and $9 for debt repayments. This company is making double what they’re lending and ultimately not benefiting those who sign up financially. Speaking to customer service, cancelling and retrieving your invested funds should not ever be a challenge but with this company it is.

Today I called after sitting on hold for thirty minutes waiting on a CSR I spoke with a guy who wasn’t very helpful and had a sarcastic attitude about my concern. My bank had merged with another bank so I called to update my banking information in this period I had a pending payment awaiting to go thru. I was offered a loan, which was to be unlocked on the 15th of this month, regardless of me being behind on the membership fees. That's what I was told during the communication between me and a moneylion employee. Couple days after that I was told that they were mistaken. It affected me a lot. I've never even had a personal loan before and this would have increased my score tremendously. Other than that, I love the tools that moneylion provides.

I signed up 15 days ago. I linked my bank account . When I could not find the day they would be billing me I disconnected it the next day. On November 25 after 2 days I sent an email asking to be taken off Plus. No response . Through the site I tryed to take it off. In the last page of site it kept offering me to upgrade to plus. I didn't hit it again since the email . One would think it would not say that if you were already plus. Yesterday I was charged 36 dollars via bank account.
