Our family has welcomed friends and guests since 1975, earning us the title “A Tradition in Traverse City”. Great steaks, fresh seafood and meaty BBQ ribs are skillfully prepared. Our homemade sauces and dressings are a blend of the finest herbs and the best ingredients to compliment every meal. We have won many awards over the years for our steaks and prime rib; Detroit News has voted us best restaurant in Michigan.

Went to Mode' s on recommendation. It was filled with regulars, the waitresses really only delt with them. Took her forever to come over, and then forever for the food. I thought it was going to be amazing for the wait, but turned out to be bland. Ordered the Prime Rib medium rare, and I think it was cooked the rest of the the way in the micro, to medium well. Came here during a bachelor party weekend on a recommendation from a friend who is local. Service was awful. Slow. Curt server. Server was passive aggressive when we sent our cold as ice prime ribs back. Do I want another one? Ummm no, wait another hour for you to mess it up again? I'll pass. Here honey, I took your dinner off the bill....you mean the inedible dinner I didn't eat? Then she charges $2 for the iced tea? Thanks for that! What a mistake trying this place was.

Appetizer good. Salad pretty good. Steak was tough and undercooked (med rare instead of medium). Waitresses were very good though.
We stopped in for a quick lunch and I ordered a chicken Caesar salad which was no bargain at 11.99. It had no more than 4 tiny pieces of chicken and no Parmesan cheese. It did have egg and tomatoes, not usually found in a Caesar salad. Basically just a salad with Caesar dressing. In contrast I ordered a 1/2 chicken apple pecan salad at Wendy's for dinner and it far surpassed my lunch option and at $4.99. Very disappointed in Mode's. Can only hope their steaks make up for it.
I've enjoyed this place for over 20 years. A must every time I'm in TC. Never disappointed.
Great Escargot, mediocre prime rib but not much of a fan of prime rib anyway and wanted to try it char-broiled, great service and salad bar!
