Our family has welcomed friends and guests since 1975, earning us the title “A Tradition in Traverse City”. Great steaks, fresh seafood and meaty BBQ ribs are skillfully prepared. Our homemade sauces and dressings are a blend of the finest herbs and the best ingredients to compliment every meal. We have won many awards over the years for our steaks and prime rib; Detroit News has voted us best restaurant in Michigan.

Great steaks, very good homemade daily soups, excellent wedges of Iceberg lettuce, and a friendly and effecient staff! They make you feel welcome every visit.
I had the filet and lobster. Yummy �. Will definitely be back.

I'm so sorry that some people had bad experience at Bum Steer. We go there every time we go to T.C. We have always had excellent service and the best food. I love the salad bar with the fresh lettuce and homemade dressings. The prime rib is always the best. The staff has always been so good to us. I would recommend you to try it again even if have to wait for a table.
Had a hard time parking, had to circle 3 times to find parking. It was worth the wait. We both ordered the 16oz strip steak, and both were done to perfection. Before the steak was a wedge salad that must have had over a cup & a half of great tasting blue cheese of dressing on it. We had best waitress in the whole place besides having a great meal. We would go back in a heartbeat if we didn't live 6 hours away in Illinois.

The atmosphere is a recollection to a great 1973 lounge and restaurant. The staff is nice and plenty of them. Food was great, drinks heavy and laughs plenty. I recommend going during the week. Cheers to all the staff.
