Good but not excellent – Good food and wine list plus a really nice restaurant. For the food the foie gras appetizer was excellent along with a nice caesar salad. Our entrees were also good including the veal bolognese and steak frites. The service was good. In general we had a good experience but I was not "wowed". Nothing was exceptional.
Very cool, very good – I love this place--the food is good and the peopel are very nice--It is a great place for lunch also--I live near there so I have been may times and not had anything short of wonderful food!!Kepp it up
SLOW DOWN! – I had lunch at Mockingbird Bistro recently and liked it so my husband and I went there for dinner last night. While the food was good, the portions a very small -- and I am not even a big eater! Plus, the service was pretty intrusive -- our waiter came by every few minutes interrupting our conversation and giving us a distinct impression of being rushed through dinner. Upscale Bistro with a great wine list – Upscale bistro mixed with eclectic selections of food, and great wine list! The food is great, but you'll have to compare with another place of comparable value since it's fusion/eclectic cuisine. Everytime I go there, I enjoy a new wine. The waitstaff and hostesses were very attentive. Overall I would recommend it to others wanting to try a new place that's kept very well-hidden. It's also very romantic to take someone on date!
John Sheey strikes again – John Sheey, late of the Riviera Grill, has come up with another winner.......ambiance, tasteful decor, great food (alas no sea bass), impressive and reasonable wine list, attentive bartender, and a well trained waitstaff (hats off to Colonel Rice).
