Mental illness plays a toll on all involved. Therefore, to try and help to alleviate concerns that we all have, I wanted to write a review. My grandson was admitted to Moccasin Bend and received treatment for approximately two weeks. He was released today. Since he has seen his share, I asked him how was this facility and the staff. He said the staff and facility were nice. I can’t speak for anything other than staff I had contact with; I found they were nice. My family member was there for 3 years. Unit 4 was his longest stay and I have to give them all the accolades for how well he was taken care of and how he was treated. The staff treated him with such empathy and I felt they genuinely cared about him and the other patients. Although a mental health facility is not always regarded as a preferred place to be, the workers and doctors here make the atmosphere as happy and loving as it can possibly be.
