So-So Massage I spent a lot of money on a maternity massage from this salon. It was mediocre. I was told when booking the appointment that "Jamie was their best." I was not impressed with this massage at all.
Expensive prices, average haircuts While Mitchell's has a good reputation in Cincinnati for providing top-notch salon service, I have to disagree. Their haircuts are very predictable and routine - it's difficult to get an updated or exciting cut there. The receptionists are less than friendly, and it's hard to go to the same stylist twice, because of the high employee turnover rate. Over priced. I recently had a very bad experience here. It is not worth the price and could go else where for same service cheaper. I was told by the stylist cost would be 129.00 and when I went to pay they charged me 179.00. I have had this same service done else where for way less. She worked on 2 other people while she waited on me also and was very loud about the poor quality of my hair.
Upscale Salon and Day Spa It's upscale. It's for when you don't want to take a chance on a big hair move. You can generally rest assured you won't walk out in tears when you go to this place. I got a fabulous color correction done there back when I had done one bottle job too many. They also do manis, pedis, massages, waxing, etc.
Upscale and Friendly I have been going to this place for years and have never been disappointed. The stylist isn't even that expensive and she has a ton of experience. Price-wise it is very competitive if you compare with other salons and they do have real professionals. Chances are - they won't screw it up. PROS: Experienced CONS: None
Mitchells Salon is the WORST!!! It was the worst salon experience EVER! Stylists did not even listen to me when I showed her my business card & said i want the same hair style- Just needed a trim & thinned out- as I have very thick hair. After I showed her my picture on my card I explained I need to keep this easy to maintain conservative cut for my job & lifestyle. DO NOT GO HERE. I went in to get my hair highlighted at the Kenwood location by a "salon director" and paid $140. My highlights turned out chunky and spotted throughout my hair. The stylist didn't even touch the back of my head and most of my highlights were uneven and miscolored. So I had to go in the next day to have someone else fix it, and they Ctually made it worse. World Class Mother's Day Gift I bought their special mother's day package for my Mother and boy was she impressed! She absolutely loved it! She calle me immediately after the services and thanked me for such a wonderful gift. I would recommend Mitchell's to anyone looking for a great gift!
