Clueless stylist, horrible fumes I tried Mitchells in Kenwood after being disappointed by a rude stylist at the Mitchells in Northgate. The girl I had was horrible. When I asked for her opinion on how I should cut my hair she said "I don't know" and "it's up to you" over and over. I'm sorry, but if I'm paying you that much, you need to have an opinion. Overpriced, Incompetent Hair Stylists I tried this salon on a recommendation from a friend. I loved the personality of the first girl I tried (Kim N.), but she was definitely newer and not yet adept at doing the layering techniques needed for short hair to look nice while growing out. I decided to advance a few levels and try Michelle for $55+ (little pricey). DO NOT GO HERE. I went in to get my hair highlighted at the Kenwood location by a "salon director" and paid $140. My highlights turned out chunky and spotted throughout my hair. The stylist didn't even touch the back of my head and most of my highlights were uneven and miscolored. So I had to go in the next day to have someone else fix it, and they Ctually made it worse. Great service I love this place, I have going there for a haircut for quite some time and it's been wonderful. The girl in Tri-County that cuts my hair is quick, professional and very reasonably priced. I get exactly what I pay for. The apointment is on time and they serve me coffee or pop whenever I have to wait, which is almost never. The pedicure that I got there once was also wonderful. PROS: Service, quality CONS: None
World Class Mother's Day Gift I bought their special mother's day package for my Mother and boy was she impressed! She absolutely loved it! She calle me immediately after the services and thanked me for such a wonderful gift. I would recommend Mitchell's to anyone looking for a great gift!
My Horrible Hair Color Experience I had my hair completely ruined by a bad hair color job. I had been a regular client for 2 yrs until this. The manager & stylist did nothing to repair the relationship. In fact, I had to pay $55 to get the ends cut again a week later!!!! I am very unhappy.
Great gift for someone special! My husband purchased a gift spa for me twice from Mitchells, once at this location and once at the Montgomery location. Both were delightful. One suggestion I would make for the purchaser of these gift certificates is pay the tip ahead of time, or ensre it is included in the purchase price. Also, either eat right before you go, or purchase any meal plan they may offer, as the services do take quite a bit of your day, and you wil be faint with hinger when you are done. What a great gift I received a massage for Mothers Day, and it was truly a marvelous experience. The ambiance was super, and my expectations were more than met. The massage therapist was very good, and since I have MS, I do have some special needs as far as stretching goes. She accommodated those needs, and was very friendly and helpful.It did take well over 2 hours for a 1 1/2 hr massage, first with the showering, then waiting, etc.I do believe they are a bit pricey, but then again, they are very good in this arena.I would ... read more
THE BEST!!! I have been going to Mitchell's for years i go to the Northgate location for my waxing and facials i always see either Misty or Skylar they are very professional and very knowledgeable they never try to push me into products or services i do not need unlike some other spas i have been to. i always feel so relax when i go to Mitchell's.
