I have been a patient of Dr. Carter for over 30 years. Dr. Carter and staff perform with consistent excellence. Dr. Carter fixes the occasional problems like chipped teeth and occasional cavities and always has time for a joke and some friendly repartee. I had a gum problem 10 years ago and we got that cleared up. The hygienist who cleans my teeth, Phyllis, has excellent hands and is very diligent to clear my plaque. I could not ask for more. If you are looking for a dentist, Dr. Carter is it.
I’ve been on a journey with Dr. Carter and staff to “catch up” after going almost 10 years since last seeing a dentist. I’m so glad I chose Athens Dental. No one lectured me about the gap since I last had a checkup, and that was appreciated. Among the average issues (root canal, cavities), I needed 3 dental implants. I called with wisdom tooth pain, and they were able to get me in same day for an X-ray and referral. Great service!
I was met on schedule. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. They are concerned about my well being and interested in me as a person. We have a long term relationship and I trust them completely.
I called the office at 9a.m. with a dental emergency. I was worked into the schedule at 1:30 the same day, even as a new patient. The staff was wonderful and Dr Carter and his assistant were so understanding and compassionate that my painful procedure was bearable. I highly recommend their practice to anyone seeking dental care. I'm so thankful to have been referred there.
