The staff is warm and welcoming. The water exercise instructor kept my interest and I felt the challenge on my first visit. The facility is immaculately kept. I will be a frequent visitor. The other participants were friendly too.

Mission Valley Y has two pools, including a beautiful 25-yard outdoor pool that gets heavy use from master’s swim teams, water exercise classes, and lap swimmers. I mainly go to the Y for the pool, but the weight room and cardio room are well equipped and kept clean, with the machines in good repair.
I love the location! So convenient to get there and OMG the equipment, classes and my favorite, the outside pool are terrific. It's also very reasonably priced. I encourage all you folks over 60 to get fit and stay fit at the YMCA or any gym close to you. Be happy and fit.
My husband and I love this gym! He prefers the weight room and I love the variety of workout classes. They're all so fun, and the music is so catchy and loud you don't even realize you're exercising! All the employees are so friendly too!
Mission Valley Y was one of the first stops I made when moving to San Diego in 2010, and joining was one of the best decisions our family has ever made. I am grateful, personally for the variety of workout areas, equipment and exercise classes. I especially love the Spin and GRAVITY classes. When my kids were younger, they loved hanging and playing in the childcare area while I got a workout in.
