Don't Go!!!! Listen to this Review! I took my 3 year old son there and had to bring my 1 year old with me. The office staff refused to allow me to feed my 1 year old a bottle in the office. I had to go outside to feed my 1 year old, but lost my place in line. When we finally saw the doctor, he refused to treat my 3 year old with my 1 year old in the room. Very Professional Dr. Cooper is a great eye doctor. Treating our entiire family. I first took my son to him at 2 years old on the advice of our pediatrician. He diagnosed my son and I went to get a second opinion just to be sure. I was given the name of a pediatric opthomologist in Santa Monica. She saw my son and gave him the same diagnosis. Warning -- Run! Don't walk out of this office. Dr. Cooper misdiagnosed our child’s eye health for years! Went to a wonderful pediatric Ophthalmologist doctor in Camarillo for a second opinion. We were informed our child has a lazy eye and has needed glasses for years to help correct the problem. Had the condition continued to go undiagnosed past age 9, it could become permanent. Recommended - Disregard the Negative Reviews All three members of my family - including myself - are now patients of Dr.Cooper, and all 3 are extremely pleased with the treatment, and subsequent results. Each appointment 's wait time was minimal; the exam and subsequent prescriptions were quick but exact; and the glasses that were made are wonderful. In and out eye doctors I myself see Dr. Hymas, but my two boys see Dr. Cooper.. i must say have been pretty pleased with this office so far, never had to wait more that a few mins. to be taken back, the exam is very accurate and quick! Dr. Cooper has been very helpful with my boys Dr. Hymas has been wonderful to myself.. the assistants are great! and friendly and the front office girls are very informative and helpful.. i will def. give them my buisness and my friends and family as well! keep up the good work!
Awesome Office!! I had the lovely exprience of taking my son to Dr. Cooper due to a injury at school. His staff was great at getting me in at the last minute. They also told me on the phone that no other siblings were allowed at the time of the appt, which was completly fine w/ me.. I was very happy w/ the exam Dr. Cooper did on my son, he also calmed my fears of permant damage to his eye.. His girls at the front desk went out of their way to help me get a copy of my insurance and EVERYONE in the WHOLE office was FABULOUS!! ... read more
Great eye doctors! I saw what other people wrote and it made me sick, Ive been a patient there for years and i have NEVER had a bad experience..the office staff is wonderful, very busy understandable..... and im sure very stressed being that it is the medical field... but they have never been rude. I understand that they have a no drink or food policy... and that is because treating kids is already hectic enough, without adding spilt food and drinks all over epensive equipment. Dr. Cooper MISDIAGNOSED our daughter and was RUDE In 2003, Dr. Cooper MISdiagnosed my daughter with third nerve palsy (a very serious problem) telling my wife that he was certain our three week old daughter had brain damage. After a harrowing two days and a cat scan we learned that she simply had a weak muscle in her eye lid - which another doctor diagnosed and has since been corrected with surgery. Worst Eye Care Center EVER My recent experience was not conducive to professional medical care. The is the most unprofessional, dysfunctional, immature front office staff I have ever experienced. The phone service is rude and uncaring. The folks in the office treated me like I was worthless. Idon't think one person in the front office ever made eye contact with me. Do yourself a favor - Please look for a more professional and caring eye care professional.
