The decor is not the reason this eatery has been in business for nearly eight decades. There is usually a game on the television and chili stains on the tables, but this isn't the kind of place you come to for white linen-topped tables. I love the chili burger and the whole vibe at Mikes is great. It's a down home,old school joint that makes you feel good. A weekly must in Ballard for me. I think Wiffle Ball games in the back lot would be awesome!
Mike is awesome. He was super accommodating and even bought the bar a round of shots for Greek Independence Day. His chili is off the hook and customer service is a 10.
LOVE They cook beans and meat separate and makes for an amazing bowl with all the fixins. DDD Loved it and so do we for decades
The food and service were fantastic!!! Wonderful history on the building and great atmosphere!
