I came in crying as my dog was barfing blood and all his stool was blood. Rachel Webber (vet) sat on the floor with my dog and made him feel special and that it was okay. He doesn't trust easily but he trusted her. Even though this vet is 25 minutes away from my home it was worth the travel. It wasn't like your normal animal hospital/vet. It feels welcoming even though know one wants to have their animal go to the ER. The staff is amazing and I can't thank them enough. We are still praying my pup gets better soon.
The amazing staff here has helped many of mine and my family's animals, from giving us the time we needed to say goodbye to my childhood cat, to saving my kitten when she got hit by a car, to diagnosing and treating a rather rough start to a diabetic life for my boyfriend's cat, and now saving my young pup from an unknown toxin causing him to act drunk and weak. I can't say enough good about the staff here, I am confident when I call to ask questions or check up on my animals that they can give me all the information I need.... read more
Dr. Buss (oncologist) is amazing. His kindness and genuine love for animals helps when dealing with terminal outcomes. Dr. Buss embraced the exuberance my large dog has, never once complained about her being in his lap and loving on him. This doctor sets the bar high for bed side manner. He explains the processes in ways a person can understand, which helps when it comes to deciding a treatment plan. Dr Buss is my go to oncologist now, no need to see anyone else.

The staff at Midwest Veterinary Referral were so kind and gracious with the sudden loss of one of my pets. I am new to the area without an established vet and was filled with anxiety and grief. It was 2am and the staff was calm and reassuring on the phone, then met me at the door to help. They went out of their way to comfort a stranger and followed up with condolences and warm thoughts. I am forever grateful for their kindness, grace, and support.
Amazing place and amazing people.. they took great care of our dog for 2 days of him being very sick.
