I received a standard eye and contact fitting exam, and they billed my medical insurance. I am 34 and told them I noticed more floaters post pregnancy, but did not want them to dilate my eyes. Optometrist declined to give me any possible explanation into why I may have floaters until I agreed to a half dose of the eye dilation. She left the room for 20 min (enough time to google an explanation) and provided me one as she told me my retina was not detached. (I wasn’t even exhibiting symptoms of a retinal detachment).
