I had a broken collar bone repaired by Dr. Yergler. I trusted his decision about the need for surgery. He worked with me about scheduling surgery on a day that worked with my busy schedule. He explained my followup care very well and even went so far as to call me the day after surgery to check on me. I couldn't be more happy with Dr. Yergler and all the staff at SBO for their professional and friendly way of caring for their patients. I have recommended him to anyone needing medical care in this field. Dr. Mike Yergler is s... read more
I've had two successful surgeries with Dr. Yergler Broken ankle, and most recent being a complete rupture of quadricep. I feel like Dr. Mike made very good decisions with my care, and I always left his office with a complete understanding of my current condition. Dr. Yergler kept both of my recoveries right on schedule, and answered all my questions with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Excellent, I had a rotator cuff and bicep tear in February 2020. During my first visit until my Pre-op visit , Dr. Mike Yergler explained the diagnosis, treatment plan and any surgical questions I had. Surgery May 2020. After surgery, once the nerve block wore off I had little to no pain (as he also indicated prior too). During my 1st Post-op visit and all other visits, I have received excellent care. Any questions or concerns that I have are answered. Dr. Mike Yergler and his staff are very attentive and professional. I am ... read more
I tore both ACLs. Dr. Yergler went above and beyond in caring for bilateral knee surgery. We had two successful surgeries. His bedside manner was great. Always professional but made sure to ask how I was feeling throughout the entire process. (It ended up being around six months.) he answered any and all questions and I had, and still does that from time to time if I need help with my knees. If I ever need another orthopedic procedure done again, I will go back to Dr. Yergler.
Echoing what many have said here about the lack of time Dr. Yergler spent with me (maybe about a minute). He also hurt my shoulder when he was moving it, but ignored me when I said that it had popped. Later in the follow-up notes, I saw that he thought he was seeing me for shoulder "pain" when I went in for shoulder instability. He never asked what was wrong so I assume that's where the confusion arose.
I promise you that you are not a priority patient to this doctor if you are not a Notre Dame athlete. He will not listen to you. This facility has too many patients. They are quick to get you in and out.
It’s very concerning to me when a doctor isn’t confident with a procedure. He is cocky and rude. One of the poor nurses stated that she has been here for many years and he still did not know her name. There are so many complaints of him not having bedside manners and rushing everything. He gets very frustrated when you ask a question. With all of this being said, he’s so quick to do another surgery which I will not let that happen. I will go somewhere else before he ever touches me again.
I had shoulder surgery approximately one year ago, completed all my rehab and resumed normal physical activities as I was advised....my shoulder is not any better than before surgery. Dr. Mike Yergler did not speak to me after my surgery nor did I ever see him in any follow ups.
He doesn’t spend time with patients. He is in and out of the office within seconds without answering patient’s questions.
