Excellent, best, most personal care I believe I have ever received from a physician that I can recall. I'd go back to him in a "heart beat." It's been nearly a year since my surgery and I feel great. Thank you Dr. Michael Wood!

Does the minimum she can. And will not seek to help with the medical insurance. If you want a mediocre doctor she is it.

Dr. Wood replaced my Aortic Valve. From the moment of my initial consultation through the post surgery visits, Dr. Wood and his staff provided exemplary care. Every question was answered, there was no rushing through the process. My options for care were explained to my complete satisfaction with the pros and cons for each choice provided. While in the hospital, I was visited daily. Dr. Wood and his staff are patient, caring, and put the patient's needs first. Highly recommend Dr. Wood.

Dr. Wood operated on both of my husband's carotid arteries last February and April, 2022. Both times Dr. Wood came out to the waiting room to let me know how his surgery went. As a retired Surgical and Coronary Care RN his assurance that all went well was awesome! My husband's recovery and care in the hospital was great. All of his questions and concerns were answered. Office staff is worst I have worked with. After waiting a month for an appointment and being a lot of pain, I called to see if they had a cancellation, which they did. They move me up a week. But when I arrived they did not have me scheduled nor did they have my original appointment on the books. I then began to get the run around saying I couldn’t have an appointment for they had no reference material from a primary care doctor. Dr. Bourgault was retiring and working less. Referred to Dr. Casalman in the same office. Saw her for 6 years. Was the same routine each time. Review blood work, listened to mv heart, BP and that’s it! Couple minutes and I'm outta there. I am in my 70s, otherwise healthy, take no medications, take a ton of vitamins, and walk 3 to 6 miles a day. My insurance requires I am seen every 6 months. Nothing short of excellent. He was highly recommended by UCLA Medical Center after my large, double cerebral aneurysm was coiled there. I wanted a local physician rather than make follow-ups to LA. He has a wonderful bedside manner, explaining everything in detail, reassuring and comforting. I trust him implicitly.

My initial visit with Dr Wood was surprising. He put me at ease immediately with his professional and friendly way. His instructions were clear and concise. Prior to CABG surgery, he again made me feel confident in his skills and trusting that he could accomplish the surgery well. His team were all professionals and just as friendly as Dr Wood. My after-surgery care has been completely 5-star service. I highly recommend Dr Michael Wood and will see him again for any cardio thoracic issues in the future.
