Very calm, caring and professional to tell us it would be triple bypass surgery
I informed the Dr what other previously visited Drs had said/thought the problem was and proposed solution to the problem. Dr then explained to me why he did not agree and explained what he felt the problem was and proposed solution to the problem. What he said made sense and I am proceeding with his recommendations.
Dr Wood is exceptional!!!
DR Wood is the very best.
I have to share this is too important not too. I have unfortunately experienced several hospitals here in Las Vegas and have ptsd from them to the point that I avoid going at any cost even my own health. I recently had a very serious problem and faced losing one of my feet. I went to see Dr Michael Wood who directed me the the emergency room at St Rose San Martine. Dr Wood could see the anxiety in me and assured me this Emergency Room and team is not the same. Wow was he right! Within 5 minutes of arriving triage already had... read more
Dr Wood performed a minimally invasive mitral valve repair in April 2022. One year later my cardiologist says it was an extremely successful surgery with excellent results. I am fully capable of doing all exercise and activities, with no restrictions. Dr Wood is highly recommended in his field of expertise and I am a living example of his skill and expertise. He has my full recommendations.
Excellent, best, most personal care I believe I have ever received from a physician that I can recall. I'd go back to him in a "heart beat." It's been nearly a year since my surgery and I feel great. Thank you Dr. Michael Wood!
Dr. Wood replaced my Aortic Valve. From the moment of my initial consultation through the post surgery visits, Dr. Wood and his staff provided exemplary care. Every question was answered, there was no rushing through the process. My options for care were explained to my complete satisfaction with the pros and cons for each choice provided. While in the hospital, I was visited daily. Dr. Wood and his staff are patient, caring, and put the patient's needs first. Highly recommend Dr. Wood.
Dr. Wood operated on both of my husband's carotid arteries last February and April, 2022. Both times Dr. Wood came out to the waiting room to let me know how his surgery went. As a retired Surgical and Coronary Care RN his assurance that all went well was awesome! My husband's recovery and care in the hospital was great. All of his questions and concerns were answered. I will admit that as a RN, this is one surgery I did see a negative occurrence post-operatively a few times, so I was just a little nervous when both my husba... read more
