He is an excellent doctor. He found a cyst on my ovaries that my gynecologist didnt find.
He's been my doc nearly 3 decades. I wish I could clone him into my doc for all my medical needs! He's the best in what he does and is the most personable at every visit. He was made to be a doctor. Absolutely the best with REAL care and concern ALWAYS for his patients! I HIGHLY recommend him without hesitation.
Still Waiting on Results! My 81 year old mother has had 2 procedures done by Dr. Farrell in the last month and we have not received the results from either and we are now 2 and 3 weeks out, respectively. Unacceptable.
I first met Dr Farrell when I was admitted for diverticulitis to HCA hospital. My primary care sent me to the ER. After having test done I was admitted to the hospital. At that time I was very sick and in much pain. At which time Dr Farrell came into my room and explained to me how sick I was and what the next steps were. I spend more than a week in the hospital which also included Christmas Day. Dr Farrell was very sympathetic however he completely explained the importance of being admitted.
Dr. Farrell appears to busy to stop and listen to the patient. His staff stated it would take 5 days to receive a return call with information, however Primary care was able to obtain the following day. Again he appears to busy, must have too many patients since he is unable to get back with his patients in a timely manner. While hospitalized, Dr. Farrell was not prepared for the procedure he performed, it was evident he had not read the chart and was not aware of the symptoms/complaints.
I've been seeing Dr. Farrell many years and he's one of my favorites. I know he'is busier than most but I've never felt short-changed or felt rushed after an enbcounter. Office visits, colonoscopies and biopsies - every time for everyone I felt I had his full attention. At the times I was felt nervous or afraid, he saw that and calmed me down. No coddling here. What I got was always a calm, rational assessment given by someone who will look you in the eye, not off into space. It works.
I am a long time patient of Dr. Farrell (over 20 years) and I cannot imagine trusting my health to anyone else. He sincerely cares about my well being and I never feel rushed when I see him, he spends as much time as necessary with me to ensure we have the best plan in place for my condition. I would absolutely insist that my family and friends go see him if they need a Gastroenterologist!
He spent a lot of time with me and explained my situation and options in great detail. Testing confirmed his suspicions and I'm much better after treatment.
Found him to be very dismissive of my symptoms and pain, even suggesting that maybe I was pregnant and didn't know it.
