Very pricey. Performed crown lengthening procedure and informed me about it after the fact and charged me $400 for it. I was there to get a temp. crown and be fitted for a permanent crown. Mouth still hurts as it did before crown lengthening and new crown, which was a separate cost of $1,100 (billable). Once-no wait, once-short wait (5-10 min.), twice-30 min. wait. One hygenist-Pat was gentle, other hygenist-heavy handed. Dr. Landy has good chair-side manner and seems knowledgable, but wants to take too many x-rays. He also ... read more
I wasn't pleased with my treatment at all. The hygeniest watched TV during my cleaning and Dr. Landy felt extremely rushed. I will never return to his office again.
Dr. Landy wanted me to purchase a night guard because he said I ground my teeth at night. I declined as it was an expense not covered at all by my insurance. I later learned from personal conversations with other patients of his that he had wanted 11 out of 11 patients to purchase a night guard. There is no way that all of these people needed these devices. In fact, until I went to Dr. Landy, my last dentist was my father, who never once noticed any evidence of teeth grinding at night in my 35 years. I think the fact that th... read more
Dr Landy's staff and facilites are very nice. They told me exactly where they were over the phoen and how to get to their office.
Great personality and good work! He truly put the time and effort into my dental treatment. Would definitely recommend to anyone. There were a lot of problems with my smile before but it now looks great!
Dr. Landy is not very friendly and doesn't explan to patients the procedures he is about to perform. Once he grabed my mouth and applied novacain without previous notice. At two different times, he has sold me very expensive procedures which alternatives were cheaper and more effective for my particular situation (corroborated by other dentists).
The office was old and dirty-looking, and the hygienist spent all of 5 minutes cleaning my teeth. The receptionist was surly, and Dr. Landy tried to sell me an expensive mouthguard that no other dentist, before or after, has recommended. I went to another dentist after this to get a proper cleaning.
Dr. Landy's associate was very friendly, making it a pleasant experience.
I went to Dr. Landy for a cleaning and was very disappointed. He completely ignored my front top teeth when removing plaque and buildup (during which he used a new electric tool instead of the usual pick - which I don't think did as good a job), he didn't floss my teeth, and he only polished the bottom teeth. I didn't leave with a "clean" feeling. A majority of the visit was spent convincing me to get bondings done on several of my teeth, buy an expensive new appliance and buy special expensive mouthwash. On the positive sid... read more
