In March 2011 "Mi Patria" opened becoming the first and only Ecuadorian restaurant in Des Moines. Owner Cesar Miranda (Ecuadorian) with more than fifteen years of experience in the restaurant business, accomplished his dream by bringing the aromas and flavors of his country to Des Moines. I had the hornado con mote (recommended by our server) it was so delicious I wanted to eat the whole plate... but instead I took home leftovers and they are almost just as good on the second day! Would 10/10 recommend this place!
