In March 2011 "Mi Patria" opened becoming the first and only Ecuadorian restaurant in Des Moines. Owner Cesar Miranda (Ecuadorian) with more than fifteen years of experience in the restaurant business, accomplished his dream by bringing the aromas and flavors of his country to Des Moines. RecommendedWhen we ate here the staff was SO nice and very attentive. The food was DELICIOUS and the portions were big. It is so worth the trip for us to eat here. Definitely would recommend this to friends and family! 💯🙌🏻🤤

Fantastic place. Was looking for ceviche and fried sweet plantains and found they had both. Blessed that I did. The ceviche is incredible, plantains amazing, and even the seemingly white rice is delicious. Friendly service, very generous portions, and outstanding food. The steaks and empanadas are fantastic as well. A must visit location. I go there as much as possible when I’m the area. Excellent place. 5/5 consistently. Recommend to all reading this review and I recommend frequently to friends and family.
Excellent service and food as always. Got take out today and was very pleased to see everyone (including the people in the kitchen) were wearing a mask. Thanks for trying your best in these trying times! Will definitely be back.
Food was absolutely awesome! The waitstaff is polite, attentive, and professional. Love this place! And dude the hand made fruit bars they now have with their ice cream shop! I’m in love.
Most excellent food! Fresh and delicious! Next time in town, will go straight there.
