Succulent barbacoa taco, delicious tamales and the scrumptious Red Chile Pozole together with lime margaritas, tequilas and mezcals make this restaurant truly alluring; especially after a show at nearby Bluebird Theater. Mezcal restaurant quite sincerely reflects the Mexican culture with it's ambiance, decor, food and drinks. You can enjoy every savory bit of the Mexican culinary fiesta that Mezcal awards it's guests with. You won't be disappointed with any of those wondrous dishes that so loudly speak of the great Mexico!

Simply Fab!! – Loved the food...loved the service...loved the casual atmosphere. Held a nice 3 hour dinner with 3 couples and each and every one of us had glowing comments...and, no, it was not the Tequila talking!!

tequila paradise – if you like tequila, mescal, or want to branch out and try some sotol, Mezcal is the perfect place especially if you want to learn alot about what your drinking! They have tequlia tastings for free every friday and the bartenders and servers seem to all be tequila and mescal sommeliers. I was sitting at the bar when they happened to be doing a tequila dinner, which the bartender told me consisted of a five course meal with lamb chops, five different tequilas, and a margarita. It looked great and it was only 45 bucks for the whole thing plus they tried a 36 dollar shot and learned about what they drank. Cool place with a mixed crowd and friendly, very knowledgable staff. oh yeah after 5:30 you can park for free between tommy's and paradise cleaners in the lot.

User review by astarnes – On a whim we stopped by Mezcal for lunch. What a pleasant surprise! The bright, oil cloth tables, unique mexican murals, and chain-link low rider bicycle made for a fun atmosphere. I had the Pozole which was excellent and I liked that the menu was a bit more traditional as opposed to Tex-Mex. The Mojito my husband ordered was so-so. Very reasonably priced. Fun, Attentive staff. All in all we had a nice time at Mezcal.

Kaleidoscopic and friendly taqueria pours tequilas and mescals and satiates crowds with flavorful Mexican fare. – In Short A bargain hangout on bustling East Colfax, Mezcal attracts a following of ultrahip urbanites, concertgoers from the nearby Bluebird Theater and neighborhood regulars. The decor is bold and overflows with kitschy Mexican knickknacks. The highlight is the generous servings of no-nonsense Mexican fare: steaming bowls of posole with all the trimmings, soft corn tacos brimming with meats, and seam-busting burritos blanketed with piquant green chili.
