Great food, fast friendly service!!! – My family and I have been going to Mexican Gardens for years, the food is soo good and the service is so friendly, alot of the staff has been there for along time so they know what they are doing and they will treat you right!! They have an awesome 2 for $20 deal where you get your choice of 1 appitizer and 2 dinners, cant go wrong with that, the chips are home made too and if you go during happy hour the draft beer is $2!! Decent Food, Horrible Service – We were told we could get the dinner and a movie deal before ordering our meal, ordered drinks which came out wrong the first time, had the server switch shifts with no one letting us know, had decent (at best) food, and then when the bill came, said that they ran out of movie tickets. The manager offered a free dessert or drink, but we just wanted to get out of there with our tickets we were told were there. Yikes – Ok...so my wife and I check out a movie at the MJR Theater and decided to check out Mexican Gardens for dinner after. We looked at the menu and got excited for the food they had listed. I ordered the Chimichanga dinner and my wife did the same. The waitress said "ok, thanks! I'll be right back with your food!". My wife and I didn't even get done chewing a SINGLE CHIP from the chips and salsa they bring out and here comes our food placed in front of us. We thought...okay...this can't be right. Do they have stoves in this place? – Just got back from this place. Knew we should have left when we noticed they were less than an hour away from closing. The wait staff seemed like they were in a big hurry to get us in and out as fast as they could and were constantly looking at their watches and clocks. They have the best Chimi-changas and I love the guacamole and bean dip! Fajitas are delicious, too.
TOO expensive, terrible food – I dont know why people crowd into this place. Only thing i can think of is cuz there s no other mexican around. It s too expensive and the food is so Americanized....almost like eating Taco Bell. They charge $2.00 for a soda. What a ripoff!
THE BEST EEVRRRRR I eat at Mexican gardens on a regular basis. When you first walk in you can just feel the loving and family spirit. Everyone is so nice and outgoing! The wait on a weekend is nothing more than 20 mins which is probably the fastest for such good quality food. The hostesses are so friendly and helpful and make sure that your needs are met. Too Smokey – Mexican Gardens has good food, fair prices and decent service but the SMOKE is too much. First you have to walk through and/or wait in the smokey bar area to get a table and then even is the non-smoking area it still smells like smoke. I have made a promise to no longer go to places that reek of smoke.
