I've eaten here a couple of times, as it's one of my friends fav places to go. Sadly I was not able to see why. I would characterize the food as Americanized Mexican fare at best.
Every time I visit Mexican Garden's I am enjoying the most amazing and authentic Mexican food. I have been going to Mexican Gardens for many many years and have never had a bad experience. The food is great along with the great service and wonderful drinks. I recommend this restaurant 100 percent to anyone that wants real Mexican food without having to go to mexico. Best Mexican around, always has and always will be!! – Recently went in to eat here the other day and all I can say is WOW... they put out their Lenten Menu and they have a BlackBean Chipoltle Burger with Sweet Potatoe Fries that is out of this world!! This place remains to be one of my favorite spots to eat...Service and staff are excellent and make you feel right at home!!

REALLY weird restaurant with REALLY sweet server. – We walked in and were seated in front of a TV with Family Guy playing. Yes, in the middle of the restaurant! I know huh? I couldn't believe it either. (We had a 4 year old with our party and there were several other children throughout the restaurant.) They changed the channel when we asked. going down hill – Have been going here for many years too many to count and lately with every visit the food has gotten worse. My visit today the food tasted off and the refried beans had to be eaten with a spoon they were so watered down. When I checked out I asked if they have changed owners and she got snippy and said no, the way she reacted you could tell that they have been asked that question alot. Great food, fast friendly service!!! – My family and I have been going to Mexican Gardens for years, the food is soo good and the service is so friendly, alot of the staff has been there for along time so they know what they are doing and they will treat you right!! They have an awesome 2 for $20 deal where you get your choice of 1 appitizer and 2 dinners, cant go wrong with that, the chips are home made too and if you go during happy hour the draft beer is $2!! Decent Food, Horrible Service – We were told we could get the dinner and a movie deal before ordering our meal, ordered drinks which came out wrong the first time, had the server switch shifts with no one letting us know, had decent (at best) food, and then when the bill came, said that they ran out of movie tickets. The manager offered a free dessert or drink, but we just wanted to get out of there with our tickets we were told were there. Yikes – Ok...so my wife and I check out a movie at the MJR Theater and decided to check out Mexican Gardens for dinner after. We looked at the menu and got excited for the food they had listed. I ordered the Chimichanga dinner and my wife did the same. The waitress said "ok, thanks! I'll be right back with your food!". My wife and I didn't even get done chewing a SINGLE CHIP from the chips and salsa they bring out and here comes our food placed in front of us. We thought...okay...this can't be right.
