Mercy gastroenterology- my mom was sent to the 3rd floor of the cancer center by someone working at one of the entrances, by the time she finally got to the correct place, Gastro clinic she was 15 minutes late and they refused to see her. Very cold staff, including the manager I spoke with. The lack of care and compassion is heartbreaking.

Went on Thursday with a sore throat, ear pain and swollen glands. Got seen by Dr Wickham. Nice man, but didn't listen well and he passed off my symptoms. Peeked in my ears and said they were fine. Swabbed for strep but I had to go outside for the swab and wait in the car. Called me and said it was negative and that I just have one of thousands of viruses. Just rest. By Saturday my ear was ringing, I can't swallow, low grade fever. I went to Unity Point. Dr immediately looked in my ear and said I have a raging ear infection. ... read more
I have never felt so disrespected by a healthcare professional in my entire life. My health concerns were completely swept under the rug, and instead all I got was a 30 minute lecture on how to live my life. If you want a condescending, egotistical healthcare "professional" making you feel like the scum of the Earth, by all means give them a try. You won't be receiving any compassion, so don't let the "Care" in "MercyCare" fool you.
