I received bill with a rate increase of over $45. Naturally, I compared with their competitor and found a lower price. Due to rate increase and services that seems to have excuses for being a day late 50% of the time so I decided to cancel. When I called the company to cancel I was told there would be a removal fee of $88. I believe this a strong arm tactic to keep me from canceling my service with them. At this point I didnt care continue my service with such a shady company like this one and canceled anyway.

To summarize for those with little time: Republic Services is a bad, bad company. Do not get involved with them. You know the term Deceptive Business Practices, this company has perfected them in every possible way. Heres what happened to me. I agreed to trash pickup at a Convenient Store for 69 dollars per month. In less than 4 years this had more than tripled to 231 dollars per month. I cannot recommend Republic Services after the confusion and inconsistency of billing, becoming way overpriced and a multitude of additional fees which are continually added to quoted prices. I have called three times to get my service billing under control and only to get continual increases, almost 40% increase over my last three ********, which has greatly exceeded the competition in the area. I have had more issues with Republic than I can even imagine. I didn't have my recycling picked for 6 weeks so finally I cancelled that service in March 2022. Then I called 4 times to have my recycling can picked up and put it out every time they said it was going to be pick up and it was never picked up. Then I still keep getting a bill for the recycling and then when I paid my trash pickup on 9/19/2022 and they picked up my trash can on 9/22/2022 and now I have no way to take out my trash. Trash pick up service has deteriorated to the point that weekly service has not been provided. All calls are transferred outside the area, and it has become difficult to even cancel services. Promised call backs and discount reimbursement for lack of service have been ignored or denied. Service billing cost significantly increased. This company is terrible to work with and deserves negative stars, but I have to mark a star so 1 it is. There has been no solution to my problem after several attempts. Their customer service doesn't know what they are doing. After holding for a long time you get a different representative each time and they just read the notes from the last representative as if they have any validity. Absolutely Terrible customer service! Had same Dumpster through 3 different companies it is 16 years old and went to cancel services because business is for sale and they would not come remove old ugly Dumpster after an entire month of calling and them telling me they would or that I keep to file this email or that email then to say someone had to come out and do an inspection on my property. I will be canceling my service. There are constant delays in pickups. Now I've been told the day of my recycling pickup, in the pouring rain, that I have to pull my recycling in and wait another two weeks. I've paid for biweekly recycling, not monthly. I understand there are shortages but Republic should not be selling a service that they cannot deliver. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Horrific service and no communication. My trash has been picked up twice in 3 months. Every time I place missed pick up and follow up with phone call, ** told they will be there following week, which never happens. They have no trouble sending bills, which essentially pre-pay for services you dont get. Almost feel bad for their customer service ***** who are all nice but basically unable to help. I feel that its also an environmental issue as my trash ends up festering on the street for weeks. They should not be in business.... read more
