I've applied for basic health care ten times haven't received a response to any of them. Spent the last 3 years just trying to get seen.
The Boise VA stands for "VETERAN ASASSINS!" FACT!
Bad service, horrible parking, everybody grumpy. I live in Jerome 100+ miles away and fell with strip throat. Couldn't make it to the er in Boise, was told to go to the St. Luke's er in twin falls then got a bill from St. Luke's for a $600 visit. Turned it into the VA and they denied the claim making me pay for it.
There is not enough words, or things that could come close to what our veteran's deserve, but this great organisation is a big help!
I was diagnosed with a rare cancer early in 2014. This VA has done everything to help me. They see me right away. I get chemo treatments here. I can call anytime. I feel like a priority at this place. They even sent me to a out of network provider who specializes in my cancer and covered the cost.
Hands down, the best VA I've ever visited !!
The VA has not been of much help to my dad. He has needed a kidney and heart valve for two years and some reason they are unable to communicate. He was clearly getting sicker and it did not seem like a priority to them. He recently started new medicines that made him blackout and pass out. Hes hit his head multiple times at night because of this. He told the VA that this has been happening and he is really worried about it.
