I had a thyroidectomy done by Dr. Brian Gogel of Southwest Surgical Oncologists. The OR looked like something out of Star Trek. It was the most incredible thing (even though i was only awake in there for about 5 minutes). The entire staff at the Pre-Admission and Day Surgery departments were like magicians. I have a very hard time getting blood drawn and they did it without incident or uncomfort. I am still just really impressed how it all went down. My mom was recently hospitalized at Medical City. I would like to recognize and commend all who helped with her care. Their care, compassion, knowledge and professionalism, while still maintaining a sense of humor was much appreciated. I would like to single out Dr. Brad McGowan, who is the best of the best. I would also like to acknowledge Sophie in neuro ICU, who went above and beyond to care for not only my Mom but also her family. Thank you!!
Worst hospital experience by far!!! I don't even give you a one star. Unacceptable wait times! Unacceptable cleanliness! Unacceptable level of care and courtesy from most nursing staff! Ready to walk out and head to Presbyterian or Baylor! Will work to find new Drs to never have to come back to this hospital again. Sad because I remember when it used to be a flagship facility. Old outdated dirty and the level of service reflects it! DO NOT GO TO MEDICAL CITY!!!
