I went to the Ledgewood location and was very happy. I was told when we walked in that there would be a 1 1/2 hour wait. I was in severe pain from an abscessed tooth so I waited. I was seen in about 45 minutes. I didn't mind the wait since I've waited much longer at the ER in my hospital for things more serious than a tooth problem. The Doctor who saw me looked in my mouth and couldn't see any evidence of an abscess which I thought was odd since I could feel with my tongue a large swelling around my tooth. Friendly and surprisingly upbeat staff for a Saturday afternoon. Beautiful waiting room, a nice place all around.
I've been there 3 times. First was on a new years eve. They were very nice and took good care of me. They had to send me by ambulance to the hospital because I had pneumonia. Second and 3rd time for bronchitis. There is always a wait because it's a clinic and they see about 60 people a day. I've always got good care there.
I was very impressed with MedExpress. I walked in, was immediately greeted, asked how I was then proceeded with the necessary insurance cards etc. I was told to take a seat & would be seen shortly. Well, we all know what shortly means in a Dr.'s office., NOT HERE....in about 5 minutes I was in the back having my vitals taken and telling the nurse what was going on. Long wait time. Dr told us they couldn't give us antibiotics because they have been giving too many out and would get in trouble! Followed up with regular doctor next day. What they told us was just a cold and to treat with cough syrup ended up being pneumonia. NEVER AGAIN AND I WILL NOT RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE EVER!
Horrible! 2 hour wait and another 1/2 hr for the doctor to come into the room....a 2 minute ck and a script for antibiotics with a "Possible" strep throat diagnosis....no strep test done....just a "presumed" diagnosis as was told to me when I had to ask the receptionist what my child had. The only reason I waited was because of a very sick teenager otherwise I would have been long gone. They need more than 1 doctor on staff or more on a Saturday for a waiting room FULL of patients. Next time I am desperate....ER it is.
Great experience! I was treated faster, more effectively, and more compassionately than at my PCP's office.
