The history of McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants began when Bill McCormick purchased Jake's Famous Crawfish Restaurant located in Portland, Oregon, and brought the more than 100-year-old landmark back to life. When asked the secret of how he revitalized a restaurant on the brink of closing, McCormick says, "I like nothing better than being a good host." My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in the back patio. The atmosphere was perfect! The patio is in the shade and there is a beautiful waterfall to add to the ambulance. We came at happy hour for drinks and taco Tuesday! We had such a nice time with delicious food and great service. Our server was terrific! I'm sorry I didn't get her name to give her props. Went for Husband's Birthday on a weekday. Service was horrible, slow,and neglectful. We were only ones besides 2 other men who were just finishing as we got there. We ended up ordering from the dinner menu because lunch menu was all fish except one burger listed. Where's the beef prople? Food was cold when it came. The food is generally very good, a little inconsistent. My husband is a Landry's member and they do not follow the policy of providing priority seating. Bubba Gumps are MUCH better in the way they treat their Landry members. We have been to Bubba Gumps in Hawaii, Santa Monica, and San Francisco multiple times always treated special. We have been to McCormick and Schmick's in Roseville, Rodeo Drive (Beverly Hills) and Berkeley (Spenger’s) and had to wait and not treated the same way.
