It has been almost Two years since I bought my car from McCarthy's and they have continued to show why we went to them in the first place. I was looking to buy a first car for my son and wanted a reliable car yet didn't want to spend to much money. I found both at McCarthy's and have been very happy with the car I purchased, it has been a wonderful experience. Process was easy. Would not go back though. Truck i bought was advertised as having a dvd system which i assumed meant that it worked. Shame on me i guess for taking a car sales dealership for taking their(your) word at it and not checking it out before buying. Disappointment turned to anger when i called numerous times and was told i would get a call back to resolve. Still waiting months later. Oh well, you win some you lose some right? You won this round but I'll never buy another vehicle from you again. More importantly ... read more

Purchased a car recently from McCarthy SLO. Steve was basic salesperson, Michael provided transportation home and the gentleman in financing made sure I was not getting in over my head. There were never any high pressure attempts. Steve walked me around the entire lot looking for just the car for me. Turned out it was a 2007 Honda Civic EX and I love it. From start to finish staff went out of their way to get me into just the car I wanted at a payment I could afford. If and when I look to change vehicles I know I don't have to look any further than Steven, who clinched the deal for me and Michael who arranged necessary transportation.
