this vets bedside manner if FOR THE PET! I had some misgiving about going to this vet because one person had said that he was rough with their pet, and that they would never go back,others said that he was outstanding.
The best!! I love them. Took my first pet there back in 1987.
Affordable QUALITY care at McLeod Animal Clinic Wonderful. Dr Jill is as nice as can be, the entire staff was friendly and made my dog feel welcome. Prices are very reasonable, coming from California and Colorado where vets are very expensive, my sister pays twice as much back in Colorado for the same treatment. I would definitely recommend Dr McLeod's office to anyone looking for quality and affordable care for their pets.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! VERY UNCARING-RUDE When Ileft a message asking if we could work about a payment plan to help our adopted dog get rid of heartworm, they did not call back. When my husband called the next day to ask them about the dog, receptionist hung up on him. Called back thinking it may have been an accident and receptionist said, "Click"-hung up on purpose! We had been bringing our other dogs to them & We will never use them again!
Great Vet with a great track record Not sure what got that last reviewer up in arms... Seeing the post made me join just to contradict that nonsense. True the place is older, so is the vet. He is old school and provides a great service at reasonable rates! He is a straight shooter that does not give the fluff like a lot of other vets and has been in RR for 30+ years. If you want the vet to not beat around the bush and provide straight answers and valuable service then look no further.
McLeod Animal Clinic is First Rate First of all I have been going to Dr.McLeod for too long to tell individual stories but I will say...he is one of the best Vets I have ever been to. He took care of my ferret , wow, probably 20 years ago that had pnemonia , saved her life...also saved the life of a cat I adopted 8 years ago...He has compassionately put to sleep one that was hit by a car and the staff has always been wonderful. Very wise and caring Vet My nephew was visiting us for X-mas and had his dog with him. After a few days, I noticed he stayed outside most of the night and would squat to pee but nothing came out. The next morning I called another office and made an appt. for later that morning. I called my sister and told her we would be taking the dog in to see a vet. The end... Long story short.... my 10-1/2 yr old cocker had severe extra saliva and very severe mouth pain. We have been going to Dr. McLeod for 4 yrs (since we moved to Round Rock) and he has taken very good care of our 2 dogs... Dr. McLeod is great! We were taking our pets to another vet in Round Rock. Their prices kept going up and up and they kept pushing more and more tests routinely. Then my husband tried Dr. McLeod. Wow, what a difference! Our dog had thyroid and heart problems. The cost was so much less to take him to Dr. McLeod. Then when it was time to put him to sleep, Dr. McLeod was compassionate, telling me more than once that day that I was making the right decision.
