Went there as an after Opera treat with my husband and daughter. The lady who took us to our seats didn't even make eye contact just rushed us to the table and left. When we got our waters there was dried lettuce stuck to the side of my glass, it was replaced quickly, but still ewww. The menu was surprisingly limited. My husband ordered the clams and penne, and he enjoyed it. This was one of my sister's favorite restaurants unfortunately she passed in 1999 and I found it too sad to come back to Max's. After 19 years I finally came back to bring my husband who is a Southern California transplant the experience was fabulous as always have been since we've been going as a child since the 70s. Thank you Max's for your superb food, superb ambiance, and superb service will be back more often
