The Rooster beet salad with goat cheese, stuffed pork chop were fantastic. The bread pudding is out of this world good. Fantastic food and lovely atmosphere.
Exceptional place! You can't go wrong going to Matt's. From the service, to the food, to the outstanding chef. We are lucky enough to have this amazing place in our backyard (literally). Don't change a thing Matt! You and your team are doing everything right! See you soon!

Never disappointed. Last evening, bacon meatballs. Grilled romaine, beef filet and coconut grilled shrimp. Shared appetizer and salad and we shared the entree which they platedfor us as surf and turf. We also shared a raspberry tart. Everything was exceptional.
We had dinner here on Saturday with friends we hadn't seen in a long while. We were enjoying our time together catching up. As soon as we had finished dessert, we were asked to vacate the table because another party was waiting. Of course, we were very disappointed at being asked to leave. That shows they overbook. We won't be visiting MRR again. The food was ok, but not spectacular.
Matt's Red Rooster Grill is nothing short of fantastic. The service is always excellent, and Matt's dishes are full of surprises, while maintaining a rustic sensibility. The decor is understated, yet elegant in its simplicity. In truth, Matt's just feels like home.
Always a great dining experience. From food to service Matt's is unequaled in Hunterdon County.
