Do not even drive by without confirmed reservations, this is the most popular Japanese eatery in town. It is considered by many to be the best sushi place in the US, and the best restaurant in the greater city of Los Angeles. Everything is fresh, delicious and very expensive, after all it is the workmanship of Nobu Matsuhisa. Rub elbows with the rich and famous, but leave your autograph book at home.

The decor is not particularly impressive, but it has a sceney atmosphere without being oppressive and you really might sit next to a movie star. Plus, it's good value: expensive, yes, but not a... read more
Yuuuuummmm!!!!! – I just love sushi and have probably tried dozens of japanese restauarants, but this one beats them all. All ingredients are fresh and you can really taste the difference. Though it has a name it can boast of, the service was great and the staff and waiters totally unpretentious. If you're on a budget, go there for lunch. I couldn't possibly think of anything negative to say about this place!
Worth the price. The best sushi in town and the by far the best restaurant.
Great for business lunch – The angles of the dining room allow for a number of tables big enough and in a perfect locations for private business meetings. I asked that the chef present some of the signature plates and was not disappointed at all. I would highly recommend this location for a buisness lunch, especially for out of town or Far East customers. However, I would not take more than a group of six people there. We had five in our group and were well situated to talk while we dined.
