I was lied to by the Massage Envy. I spent thirty minutes giving my information and scheduling these massages I asked to transfer my massage to my 88-year-old mother. They said no problem after making sure and spending 30 minutes on the phone they said they would be transferring my massage to my mom. Been a member forever. Was getting massages multiple times a month before I had my baby. After, it took me a few months to feel ready for a massage. By the time I came back, they were booked out for months and couldn’t get me an appointment. I even asked to be put on the cancellation list, and heard nothing. Now prices have gone up, and I still can’t get in to use one of my like 15 accrued services. Huge turnover for Management and front desk staff and now I clearly understand why! Poor upper management group who micro manage and undermine their employees. I was given a clinic that was already drowning with horrible clients and was provided no support. You have to ask permission to do literally everything and they expect you to pick a failing clinic from off the ground in under 90 days. Theft! Massage Envy is understaffed everywhere. It is exceptionally hard to get an appointment yet they are not allowing early cancelations, refunds, extensions to use services or anything to compensate for the fact that they are signing up more members than they can service. Totally unacceptable.

Massage Envy violates Federal Law by making you sign a form stating you will not work anywhere else as they STARVE you. In Calistoga and Non-Massagenvy places, I made $250 daily on 5 hrs work- at M.E. 5 hours work =$60. I reported them for this and was harassed by the M.E. in Prescott, AZ ( ME is a throw-away job I would take just to keep massaging for Resort Spa work)for reporting as it is illegal to harass people for invoking their federal rights.

Around two weeks ago, I tried to schedule an appointment with this massage envy location and I spoke to Alyssa quite detailed. She had no appointments for the timeframe that I wanted it in. I was disappointed because I used to be an annual member, and considering I was having difficulty getting an appointment, it was really deterring me from joining Massage Envy in the long run. relief. Even with all the recent disappointments, I was still a big fan of Massage Envy I enjoyed coming in, the therapist were always very respectful and professional, providing me with much needed relief. I was given a gift card earlier this year from a friend who is a member of Massage Envy. One gift card was for two 60 minute massages and the other gift card in the amount of $40 was for gratuity for my service. On my first appointment the young woman who checked me out redeemed the wrong card after me requesting twice she use the card expiring the first. I had 2 gift certificates which included 2 free services. The 4 times I went, there was confusion, and were trying to charge me. Everytime. I enjoyed each service, but left stressed. It worked out, but so unnecessary when there should be no charge. I guess the promotion cards had a dollar amount on them.
