I am so thankful to find Mass Gen as my hospital. I just had a successful Kidney transplant, the transplant team are so talented and very good Drs. A good heart and concerned. And my unbelievable nurses in Blake 6. I would love to thank each and everyone who helped me, walked me, comfort me and makes me feel good everyday. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! I Love the the hospital,and the doctors. My husband had cancer, they explained everything my husband and I when he found out it was cancerous my husband went into denial. They say if surgery they went over it again, my husband said you didn't say that I said to him yes they explained everything to us, but you were in denial. They told us they could postpone the surgery and he and I could talk about it. My husband said no. Was in surgery kept me updated. Went to I c u , I was able to stay. I was in for spinal stenosis surgery and was treated with respect and compassion. The Dr.'s Nurses, caregivers, PT Nurses, Attending physicians all were so amazing I knew from the moment I got there until I left I had made the right choice. My surgery went extremely well - the care was outstanding and the room was quiet, bright and incredibly clean. I am a 63 year old man and in the future won't go anywhere else but MGH. If I could I would give 10 stars.
I always read and heard that MGH was the best, but after this week I can say Hands down it is the best hospital I have ever stepped foot in. From the pre-op visit, to the amazing nurses and pcas on Phillips 22 (Leah, Denise, Maria) to the BMT team Dr Dey and NP Chrisa, I can't say enough good things. Being in the medical field, it is always helps you put things in perspective to be on the other side, but I had no worries since I knew I was in great hands @ MassGen. Have been going to MGH for 30+ years for Primary Care as well as specialists, ER and any other medical issues that I may have, along with my parents and although sometimes the waits are annoying and frustrating at the ER, I still would rather wait than go to a different hospital that will never compare with the staff and technology they have.
I was invited to Grand Rounds at MGH dermatology yesterday. I was a little intimidated to have the whole department examine me, but the doctors were all great. I am looking forward to having all of those great minds come up with a better treatment plan for me.
