The former New York Giants baseball player William G. Martin opened this neighborhood pub in 1933. Today his grandson, Billy Martin runs the family business. Dark wood paneling and touches of hunter green make for an attractive interior. The menu features American and continental classics - steak and seafood as well as pasta served with marinara or alfredo sauces.

Brunch on Sunday morning where JFK ate brunch and read the newspapers every Sunday while in Congress and where he proposed. If the meal had been dreadful, I probably wouldn't have noticed, but it was excellent.
I love the history and ambience as much as, or more than the food!
