Dr. Martinelli is a wonderful doctor and has the best staff.
Dr Martinelli replaced my left hip 8 years ago; my recovery then was uneventful and I was pain free. When my right hip succumbed to osteoarthritis, I again saw Dr Martinelli- my primary physician had again recommended him and , once again, I am completely satisfied. He is skilled and personable- and thoroughly explains everything about a hip replacement and recovery.
I have known Dr. Martinelli for many years both as an RN at Alexandria Hospital & as a patient. He has operated on both my husband & myself. He has done several major surgeries on me, all with excellent outcomes. I highly recommend him!

I have had two complete knee replacements (TKR) performed by Dr. Martinelli. One was outpatient and one with a stay in the hospital. Both were done professionally with open and transparent communication on every part of the procedures. One result was perfect and one may need a revision due to no fault of the surgeon or staff. From the first time I went to see him, Dr. Martinelli didn’t waste any time with me. He immediately ordered what was needed to give him a better sense of what was going on with me. Afterwards, he immediately gave me the best options and before I knew it, I’m post op and on a solid road to recovery. I would refer him again and again!
I have been a patient of this practice since the early 1980s. Dr. Martinelli has replaced both knees and continues to monitor them. Both turned out exceptionally well and he has a great bedside manner. He even stopped to see me in Alex hospital while I was in for a back surgery with another physician. You’ll be in great hands!
He was amazing from the very first time I met him about 5 years ago. He throughly explained to me my ex rays. The procedure he would do during my knee replacement. His bedside manner is amazing. I plan to get my other knee done once I’m healed up… if you want a good orthopedic Dr. go to see him!!!
