I was very impressed with Dr. Martinelli. He listened carefully, was very informative re options if anti-inflammatory doesn't resolve issue, discussed history of my reason for coming, did physical exam to further explore reason for pain, had a great bedside manner & was easy to talk to. He left me with the impression that he's a caring doctor. I highly recommend him.
Dr Martinelli listened when I described symptoms. He explained different treatment options. Understood I was not in favor of knee replacement as 1st option. Worked with me to provide different option, which is working currently. In reference to hop pain due to bone spurs and bursitis first recommended physical therapy. I have had two hips replaced by Dr. Martinelli, and I have had a great experience with the entire course of medical care, from diagnosis to surgery and recovery. Dr. Martinelli advised me of my options at each stage of the progression of arthritis, and when the surgery was needed, he did great work, and the recovery was quick and relatively comfortable. The hip replacements have greatly improved the quality of my life.
From my first appointment until now, three weeks post op, the journey has been flawless. The Ortho Virginia staff has been great (Elsie) and Dr. Martinelli was outstanding. He explained in detail my procedure and explained it again post op looking at X-Rays. He listened to my questions and had detailed answers for all of them. I’m pain free for the first time in 18 months!
Dr. Martinelli is very knowledgeable with top notch experience. He’s the best orthopedic doctor I’ve ever had.
