Great food, great price. – This place has excellent pizza and basic pasta dishes. A lot of people say the service is bad, but i have eaten there several times and have never had a problem.
Great Food; Service Stinks – We found Marra's from CitySearch. Our first visit provided GREAT FOOD and a $50 bill for 2 adults and 1 child! The problem was the wait, and the time of the "total dinner experience", that is to say from the time we were seated to the time we paied the bill was just over 2 hours. Pizza Yes – Have lived in South Philly long enough to know there are 10 bad pizzas for every 1 good one, and this is definitely one of those. Go on a weeknight to avoid crowds & steer clear of the mundane food. Order Chianti & Pizza & it's perfect.
awesome pizza – an incredible place for food.....old time South Philly waitresses who are a little like your mom at times but always cordial and appropriate
YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE! – This place is always wonderful, even if the booths are a bit cramped. The veal is fantastic, the portions are enormous, and the style is, well, vintage South Philly. You HAVE to try this place, and try the garlic bread... so long as your loved one eats it with you!!!
excellent authentic Italian food – Marra's has great food and the house wine is excellent. The service has not been the greatest. I have gone to Marra's about 10 times and maybe half of thoses times our server forgot sides and once even brought the wrong main dish. Once you get everything, enjoy the great food, but The service seems to often be a problem.
Never Miss It – My husband and myself NEVER miss this one. Each Philly trip, we always have dinner here at least once. The Alfredo is to die for, my husband is a big fan of the Mussels. Great little cozy booths, with history all over the walls, and the portions can't be beat. We live in DC, and I always can't wait to eat there!!!! Everyone we know headed in that direction, I direct them there.
