Horrible Marinara – After hearing how great it was, we decided to try Marra's on a Sunday night. Service was mixed - the food coming out was quick but had to ask twice for red pepper and oregano even though there was only one other table there at the time. She just forgot. We had the appetizer plate with some meats, artichokes, mushrooms, tomatoes. Bland, tasting like they did nothing but open the can of artichokes and mushrooms. Tomatoes were fresh, though. The bread was decent but no oil. My husband had tortellini and enjo... read more

Great place for pizza in South Philly – The atmosphere is 80s, the service so-so, but relaxed, and the pizza is really delicious and inexspensive. $14 covered a small salad, and pizza for two. Tasty Tasty Tasty!

Old Reliable – A place for good traditional Italian food, and awesome pizza, for the entire family.

A Personal Family Tradition – I have been going here since....well, forever. Food is amazing. Simply Put. Best Pizza in South Philly. The service is something to be desired, but that takes a definate backseat to the fabulous food.

I LOVE IT – I always try to find an excuse to go to Marra's. I love the food. I never have had a problem with the service. I stay is a bit long because the food is made fresh. You have to just relax and have a good time. It's a very relaxed place. I suggest making reservations for a larger party (over 4 people) because the wait can be a bit long. If you have never been there it is a MUST try.

The Service Sucks – The food is reasonably good but the service is incredibly slow and inattentive. They have a large upstairs dining room which would be good for groups if you don't mind waiting for beverages, etc.

A casual, old-time South Philly spot for pizza and pasta just like Mama used to do it. – In Short Marra's atmosphere is tough to beat: Above red-vinyl booths hang paintings, photos and wooden cutout letters that spell the establishment's name. With a carafe of house wine on the table, many customers have been known to stay a while as they eat meals of cuisine that is decidedly not nouveau Italian: enormous servings of homemade pasta, mussels, calamari and thin-crust pizza.

Offensive service – The offensive service was not worth tolerating for mediocre pizza. We were totally snubbed because we were with kids. Our waitress was so rude I can't imagine how she earns a living. I'm really sorry we tipped her.
