Umass Memorial has two nurse practitioners in the transplant unit who gave unsolicited medical advice on my post and were outright discouraging and scaring people away from being living donors. I am stunned by the unethical, unprofessional behavior of these two medical professionals. I was also accused by one of them of “misrepresenting the surgery” when I have never given any advice or details of the surgery. I simply refer people to the transplant team to be educated about it. The endocrinology Dept is awful . Go to Boston if you need care don’t come here .
My sister went there with her newborn child afraid he may have had a fever. When he displayed no signs of one, the staff WOULD NOT ALLOW my sister to leave the building. They said they needed to draw blood, urine, and run several more tests. When attempting to leave, she was told that IF SHE LEFT before tests were run, they would call DCF! When tests turn out negative, doctors send patients home healthy and happy. NOT threaten their families! This is not ok!
been waiting four hours in the ER...still haven't been seen. Is this the norm?
The wait in the pediatric ER was very long but loved the doctors and nurses they were very nice and explained what was going to happen so I understanded it easily
