My name is William Hamlin and on June 24,2019 I had Dr.Stern implant a neurostimulator in my lower back. I have a damaged L-5 nerve that was causing me chronic unbearable pain. Before the implant, every one to two months I had to have nerve block injections to relieve the pain. Each time I would get 2 to 6 injections in my back. Plus I also had to take pain meds just so I could fuction. Most of the time I'd burn off the blocks before my next appt. Excellent care and follow-up. Have had two spinal cord stimulators for years, and needed some revision/replacement on one soon after we moved here a few years ago. Dr. Stern was highly recommended by my orthopedic doctor and the Medtronic specialist. Appointment was quickly made, and surgery scheduled quickly. I recently had an intrathecal pain pump implanted, and have had major pain relief with it. I hope you don't end up like me with this incompetent staff. Maybe Dr Stern is a good surgeon I'll never find out because his office girls had 4 months to schedule me for low back surgery that Dr Stern said URGENT. The excuse is they can't find an opening with Vascular Doctor Terramani. I asked back in August is it possible to have surgery soon ? And they kept saying oh we have plenty of time to schedule you in. October, November, December. Now new year and my work changed my HMO to EPO and Dr Stern doesn't take EPO. I have ... read more
Very pleasant visit.
Having two discs replaced in my neck by Dr Stern changed my life. After 20 years of radiating pain it was gone. I also regained full mobility in my neck.

Dr. Stern is very knowledgeable and a great surgeon . He is always looking for ways to do things better and use technology to help people. He preformed a 2 disc discectomy on me in December 2017, he helped me immensely. I would recommend Dr. Stern for anyone looking for help with any spinal and neurological issues.
