Dr Schultzel was the embodiment of the caring, knowledgeable surgeon I wanted to help me. After falling and shattering my left shoulder and 4 months of pain when it wouldn’t heal, he performed a reverse total shoulder replacement. The results were spectacular. Dr. Schultzel was my "after care" physician after I incurred a shattered elbow ( Distal Humerus Open wound Fracture) due to a fall of an uneven floor at the Washington/Dulles Airport. Immediate surgery was needed and successfully performed at the Reston Hospital in Virginia. Dr. Schultzel was my Physician after the surgery and took great care of my situation. Excellent communicator and listener. He makes your care a priority. I had two exceptional surgical experiences with him and his team. One a knee arthroscopy and the other a rotator cuff repair of three torn muscles. My shoulder recovery after 6 months has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend him.
